The Glock frame is smooth polymer with a moulded texture that varies by generation, and for a lot of shooters it is not enough — particularly with wet or gloved hands. Adhesive textured grips and rubber grip sleeves both fix that without permanently altering the frame, which matters if the pistol is not yours to modify or you want to reverse the change later.
How fitment works
Grips are cut to the frame, so fitment follows frame size and generation rather than calibre. Gen 4 and Gen 5 frames with interchangeable backstraps need panels cut for that profile. The slim guns and the subcompacts each need their own cut, and a panel for a G17 will not wrap a G26 correctly.

Choosing and fitting
Adhesive panels give the most aggressive traction and add no bulk, but they are semi-permanent and can lift if the frame is not properly degreased first. Slip-on sleeves are removable and add a little girth, which suits shooters with larger hands. Clean the frame with isopropyl alcohol before applying anything adhesive.
