Step-by-Step Installation Guide
1. Initial Alignment
Start by using a pick to push out all the tiny laser-cut relief points from the stencil. Once clear, find the center seam of the weld on the RXM frame; this is your primary reference point. Line up the “V” shape at the bottom of the decal with that center weld line.
2. Working the Main Body
Peel back one side of the decal gently, taking care not to touch the adhesive with your fingers. Work the material into place from the center out to ensure it remains symmetrical. We highly recommend using a squeegee during this process to remove air bubbles and ensure maximum adhesion.
3. Precision Placement
The decal is designed to fit naturally over the OEM grip texture; use the mag pull mark as a secondary alignment guide. Once the first side is secure, repeat the process on the other side. The material is “forgivable” and has a slight flex, allowing you to make minor adjustments.
4. Rear Strap and Thumb Rests
Remove the rear piece gently from the stencil. Find the center weld mark on the rear of the frame and set the decal just above the magwell. Work the texture upward, from one side to the other, squeegeeing out air bubbles. Finally, align the shaped thumb rest parts on the 45-degree edge of the frame and press them down.
Long-Term Maintenance and Durability
For the best results, let the decal cure for a few hours—ideally overnight—to reach maximum adhesive strength.
- Avoid Solvents: Do not use harsh cleaning solvents on the decal for the first 24 hours.
