Glock ships with polymer sights. They work, but they are the first thing most owners replace — steel sights survive being knocked, and tritium night sights remain visible in the light conditions where a defensive pistol is most likely to be used.
How fitment works
Glock uses a common dovetail across most of the line, but not all of it. The 10mm and .45 Auto guns use a different front sight height because of the taller slide, and installing a set cut for a 9mm slide will put your point of impact off. Gen 5 and the slim-frame guns should be checked individually rather than assumed.

Choosing and fitting
Front sight height determines elevation, so buy the set as a matched pair rather than mixing brands. Rear sights are drifted in a sight pusher, not hammered — a punch and hammer will mar the sight and can crack tritium vials. Confirm zero at the distance you actually shoot before relying on any new set.
